Cookie Policy

Effective October 15, 2026

Keepsel is made by Crater Ink Studios LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files your browser keeps for a website. Some pages also keep a setting in your browser’s own storage (“local storage”), which works like a cookie but is never sent to us. This policy lists both.

2. On keepsel.com

This website sets one cookie and keeps one setting, both its own:

NameKindWhat it doesHow long
ks_attributionCookie (first-party)Set only when you arrive through a link that names its source (for example an ad or a partner link). It keeps that link's campaign tags and ad click IDs (such as utm_source or gclid) and nothing else, so they can be passed to the Keepsel app and recorded if you sign up. Only the first such link is kept.90 days
keepsel-themeLocal storage (never sent to us)Remembers whether you chose the light or dark look. It is removed when you choose “System” again.Until you clear it

keepsel.com loads no advertising, analytics or other companies’ scripts, so no one else sets cookies through it. The ad click IDs in the cookie above only tell us which campaign brought you; this website sends nothing to ad companies.

3. In the Keepsel app

The Keepsel app at app.keepsel.com sets only first-party cookies, its own:

  • Essential: to keep you signed in, and to remember which business you are looking at.
  • How you found us: the campaign tags passed on from keepsel.com (section 2), kept for up to 90 days so they can be recorded with your sign-up (see the Privacy policy).

The app’s sign-in pages run a check from Cloudflare that keeps bots out; Cloudflare handles what that check collects under its own privacy policy. No advertising or analytics companies’ cookies or trackers run on Keepsel’s pages.

The app also keeps things in your browser’s own storage. Only the Keepsel app reads that storage, in your browser; nothing is sent from it to anyone, and your changes reach our servers through the app itself:

  • A copy of your business’s records (in the browser’s IndexedDB storage), so the app opens quickly and keeps working on a weak connection. Our servers keep the real records; this is a copy.
  • Work in progress (in local storage): for example a form you were part way through, a stock count you have started, an unsent message to Suli, and when the business was last exported.

Signing out does not delete that copy. Signing out ends your session in that browser, forgets which business you were looking at, and clears your unsent message to Suli and the stock audit you had set going; the copy of your records and your stock count sheet stay in the browser. The copy of your records is deleted when a different business is opened in that browser, and the next time that browser opens the app after your access to the business was removed, or after someone who is not a member of the business signs in there (not at the moment access is removed). In those last two cases your stock count sheet is deleted too; switching between your own businesses keeps it. On a shared or public computer, clear this site’s data in your browser’s settings after signing out.

4. Managing cookies

You can view, delete or block cookies, and clear local storage, in your browser’s settings. Blocking the campaign cookie changes nothing you can see. Blocking the app’s essential cookies stops you from staying signed in.
